NORBULINGKA, India, 2007
In 2007 we traveled to Norbulingka Institute in Dharamsala, India, an organization dedicated to preserving Tibetan arts and culture in carpentry and tailoring, by training and employing Tibetan refugees who make the arduous journey from China to India.
During a period of three months, we developed ideas for new products that celebrate a hybrid of modern and traditional Tibetan motifs, including a set of silkscreen designs for handmade Tibetan paper. The 8 different motifs were mainly variations of the Lotus, a reoccurring theme in Tibetan culture.

KOKONOR, India, 2008 - 2011
We first met Catherine Anderson of Kokonor in 2007 while working on a project for Norbulingka in Northern India. The following year we got together to develop an identity for Kokonor and work on a few designs for possible accessories: Catherine was at the time developing her new clothing line and fair-trade model with Tibetan refugees, who received training in tailoring in return for fair wages and benefits. Catherine also set up a child sponsor program to insure that Tibetan kids in the community received a good education.

GHAR SITA MUTU, NEPAL, 2008
The organization was founded in 2001 by Beverly Bronson as an orphanage for abandoned girls. Beverly also established a women’s felt-product training program, aiming to instruct underprivileged women in crafting skills, providing an opportunity to make an income to support their families.
To the right is a branding concept for their hangtags. We wanted to keep a 'handmade feel' to the tag, in both graphics and use of handmade paper.
WOSER, India, 2011
We met Tendill Snagmo in 2011, a Tibetan entrepreneurial powerhouse who was in the beginning stages of opening up her own bakery and accessories shop, in Dharamsala, India.

The Angus McDonald Trust was launched in 2014, an organization that donates to grassroots healthcare projects in Burma. Identity and graphics.
GOWANUS CANAL CONSERVANCY, NY, 2018
Graphic explorations for Gowanus Canal Conservancy's Gowanus Blue educational program, which addresses the issue of the city's Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) by providing over 250 middle and high school students with guidance to develop green infrastructure proposals for their schools to stop or slow stormwater before it enters the sewer system.
